The 7 Climates 7 Regions-Neighborhood National Architectural and Urban Design Ideas Competition is a national-scale public competition for the neighborhoods in Turkey's seven districts to design projects that reflect the traditional neighborhood life and the identity of the city in which they are located.

Unplanned and unidentified structuring, disregarding aesthetic values and changing living conditions in cities that were unprepared for rapid population growth and intense migration from village to city, led to the deterioration and disappearance of the original spatial and socio-economic textures of our neighborhoods, which are the result of thousands of years of architectural culture, tradition, and accumulation. This situation necessitates new and comprehensive evaluations in order to preserve the local identity of housing and living spaces and to improve the quality of life, particularly in the cities of our nation, which have a very rich cultural history that must be transferred to the future.

In neighborhood planning, in addition to communal living areas, neighborhood security, and daily life, traditional neighborhood texture and cultural characteristics, such as diversity and cohesion, are also important. It aims to take the demands of social groups into account. Kindergarten, primary school, mosque, etc. projects for social facilities were not requested; however, in the urban areas of the reinforcement areas, necessary details and landscape concept projects were requested at the design scale.
